Cradle of Filth, the Grammy-nominated extreme metal titans, are back with their 14th studio album, The Screaming of the Valkyries. Set for release on 21st March 2025 via Napalm Records, the record is now available for pre-order in various stunning formats.

Described as a fierce amalgamation of their storied gothic past and bold modern evolution, the album follows 2021’s Existence Is Futile and promises to deliver anthemic tracks filled with dark beauty, symphonic flourishes, and blistering heaviness.

A New Era Begins with “To Live Deliciously”

The first taste of The Screaming of the Valkyries arrives today with the debut single, “To Live Deliciously”. The track, built around Dani Filth’s unmistakable growls and a Libertine-inspired lyrical hook, brims with raw energy and dramatic atmospheres.

Speaking about the song, frontman Dani Filth says:

“The song is about the celebration of life. Of indulging in everything unfettered from the conformities of religion, fashion or state. Free from guilt or constraint… To delight in simply ‘being’.”

With this track, Cradle of Filth lays the groundwork for what promises to be an album drenched in their signature theatrical darkness but with fresh sonic twists that will enthral new and veteran fans alike.

The Screaming of the Valkyries – A Journey Through Gothic Extremity

The album showcases the band’s creative range, from the galloping ferocity of “Demagoguery” to the mournful elegance of “Non Omnis Moriar” and the operatic power of “Ex Sanguine Draculae”. Fans of classic releases such as Dusk and Her Embrace will find nostalgic echoes, while tracks like “You Are My Nautilus” offer audacious new textures.

Produced by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, the album promises a rich, immersive experience, combining death ‘n’ roll grooves, symphonic darkness, and flashes of pure blackened chaos.
