Palaye Royale release new EP ‘Songs For Sadness’ via Sumerian Records, out now! A swift follow up from the band’s ‘Sextape’ EP released at the end of the year.
‘Songs For Sadness’ is the musical antithetical sibling of ‘Sextape’, seeing the band embrace their earlier Emo influences, 80s synths and balladry. It’s a softer, romantic and more introspective side of Palaye Royale – in stark contrast to their previous EP’s heavier elements.
‘Sextape’ concluded a monumental year for the trio, which saw them celebrate their massively successful album ‘Fever Dream’ with their biggest run of headline shows in the EU + UK, including a sold out show at London’s Eventim Apollo, as well as a packed out set at Reading & Leeds Festival, and ‘Songs For Sadness’ primes the band for their biggest year yet, with the band set to release another even longer form project, with more details to be shared soon. They’re also confirmed for festivals like Slam Dunk in the UK & France, as well as Tons of Rock in Norway and Ilosaarirock in Finland.
