The Saints ’73–’78 Take On the World With 50th Anniversary Tour
UK dates confirmed for November
The Saints ’73–’78 are storming back with a vengeance. To mark 50 years since their first shows, the legendary proto-punk pioneers have announced a globe-trotting tour that brings the explosive lineup back to the UK for five unmissable shows in November.
Formed in 1973 and globally hailed for their blistering debut (I’m) Stranded, The Saints laid the groundwork for punk before punk even had a name. Now, Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay – the original guitarist and drummer – return to the stage alongside an all-star cast: Mick Harvey (The Birthday Party, Bad Seeds), Peter Oxley (Sunnyboys), and Mark Arm (Mudhoney). This isn’t nostalgia – it’s full-throttle resurrection.

Global Tour, Historic Return
Though The Saints spent their early years burning brightly and briefly in the UK, with only a smattering of European dates and limited shows back home in Australia, this new tour flips the script. Alongside long-overdue debuts in New Zealand, North America, and Europe, they’ll bring the fire back to British stages for five UK shows – the biggest of their career.
And this time, they’re bringing a few friends.
Joining the lineup for all UK and US dates are Australian duo Chimers, whose critically acclaimed Through Today LP has been turning heads worldwide. Lauded by everyone from Henry Rollins to Mudhoney, their stripped-down, speaker-blowing intensity makes them the perfect companion to The Saints’ sonic assault.
The live show is further elevated by a dynamic three-piece brass section, featuring baritone and tenor saxophones, as well as trumpet. Among the ensemble: horn maestros Eamon Dilworth and Julien Wilson, bringing new heat to classics like This Perfect Day, Know Your Product, and Nights in Venice.

“Rock music in the 70s was changed by three bands – the Sex Pistols, the Ramones and the Saints.” – Sir Bob Geldof
(I’m) Stranded is one of the hottest walking, incendiary, original rock albums ever recorded. This record is still as relevant to me now as it was back then.” – Henry Rollins
