Holy Wars Channel Grief and Growth on Haunting New Track
Los Angeles hard rock outfit Holy Wars return with “Metamorphosis,” a soul-baring industrial rock anthem shaped by personal tragedy and artistic evolution. Blending raw sonic aggression with moments of cathartic beauty, the track captures the band in one of their most powerful moments to date.

Driven by pulsing rhythms and atmospheric distortion, Metamorphosis pulls inspiration from industrial giants like Nine Inch Nails and HEALTH, while Kat Leon’s evocative vocals bring an emotional intensity that recalls the likes of Evanescence. The result is a stormy yet soaring statement of rebirth through loss.
A Song Forged in Fire
Written after the heartbreaking loss of Leon’s parents and sister, Metamorphosis reflects the brutal process of personal transformation. It’s not a reinvention by choice, but one born out of survival.
“‘Metamorphosis’ is about bringing closure to the shadow self and surrendering,” says Leon. “It’s about allowing yourself to heal so the light can come in.”
There’s a weight to every note — a sense that this track isn’t just a performance, but a reckoning. It’s a release of sorrow, anger, and the tentative hope that something new can rise from the ashes.
Ascending Through the Ranks
The release follows a breakout year for Holy Wars, who have surged into the spotlight with appearances at major festivals and tours across Europe and the UK. In summer 2025, they brought their fierce live energy to stages at:
- Download Festival (UK)
- Rock For People (Czech Republic)
- Rock am Ring (Germany)
- Rock im Park (Germany)
The band also toured with Kittie across the UK and EU, and appeared alongside Evanescence and Poppy at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Alabama. These high-profile dates are a testament to Holy Wars’ growing presence in the hard rock and alternative scenes.
Eyes on the Horizon
With Metamorphosis joining previous singles Crucify and I Feel Everything, Holy Wars are staking a bold claim on the future. Their 2023 EP Cult Classic marked a pivotal moment, and now, fully aligned with Pale Chord/Rise Records, the band is charging forward.
In January 2026, they’ll take to the high seas aboard ShipRocked, performing alongside Halestorm, Motionless In White, Knocked Loose, Kittie, and more.
More music and tour announcements are expected soon.
“Metamorphosis” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
