Grade 2 Channel Raw Punk Fury on New Track Cut Throat

Grade 2 Fire Back with Gritty New Single, Cut Throat

Isle of Wight punk trio Grade 2 are back swinging with new single “Cut Throat,” a no-holds-barred anthem of defiance dropped ahead of their 2026 UK tour. Clocking in with roaring guitars and a relentless rhythm section, the track is a tightly wound burst of frustration and focus—classic punk with teeth.

Cut Throat is about a world that takes more than it gives,” the band shares. “It’s a commentary on striving for more in situations where most people are out for themselves.”

The song barrels forward with the urgency of a band unwilling to fold, touching on themes of resilience in a bleak, self-serving world. It’s as personal as it is universal—a survival anthem for the disillusioned.

Unvarnished and Unfiltered

The video for Cut Throat, directed by Jason Link with live footage by Flo Ehlich, cuts straight to the chase. Composed of stark black-and-white stills from Grade 2’s frenetic live shows, it captures the sweat and spirit of punk with nothing but the raw truth of the moment. No filters, no flash—just fists in the air and hearts on fire.
