HANABIE. set December release for new album UMAMI as Bari Bari Buddy lands
HANABIE. have announced their new album UMAMI, due for release on Wednesday 2 December 2026. The Tokyo quartet have marked the news with new single Bari Bari Buddy, which serves as the ending theme for forthcoming anime series Reincarnated as a Sword II.
Written by vocalist Yukina and guitarist-vocalist Matsuri, Bari Bari Buddy brings the band’s collision of jagged riffs, bright hooks and full-throttle vocal delivery to the fantasy series’ closing credits.

The band said: “We’ve created an epic, larger-than-life song that perfectly captures Fran and Teacher’s grand adventure! The chorus is something everyone can sing along to, so I hope you’ll join us and get hyped together.
“And through this series, I hope we can all become totally badass Buddies!”
A new chapter after HOT TOPIC
UMAMI follows HANABIE.’s January 2026 EP HOT TOPIC, with further details on the album yet to be confirmed. The release will arrive less than a year after the band’s first North American headline tour, and continues their recent run of material following 2024’s Bucchigiri Tokyo.
The current line-up features Yukina on vocals, Matsuri on guitars and vocals, Hettsu on bass, and Chika on drums.
