Scott Sorry Battles On and Celebrates a Decade of When We Were Kings
Scott Sorry has never done anything quietly—and that includes facing one of the most aggressive forms of cancer imaginable. First diagnosed in 2018 with stage 4 Glioblastoma, the punk rock mainstay defied the odds and made a fierce return to the stage in 2022, touring the UK alongside his solo band and Grand Theft Audio.
But the past 18 months have tested even Scott’s iron will. In January 2024, doctors found another tumour. Surgery followed in March, then radiation in April, and six gruelling months of chemotherapy. Just when things looked stable in November with a clean scan, a new inoperable tumour was discovered in December—this time behind his eye.

Despite the toll on his body—including paralysis on his right side and the onset of aphasia—Scott remains defiantly unbroken. Those close to him say he’s still cursing like a punk rock poet and pushing forward, just like always.
New Album Campaign and Anniversary Release
To support Scott and his family, a new campaign has launched around the 10th anniversary of When We Were Kings—his standout solo album. For the first time ever, it’s being released on vinyl, along with a brand new live album and a special Sorry Audio CD offered free to those who get involved in the campaign early.
A powerful video accompanies the announcement, featuring appearances from close friends and collaborators including Ritch Battersby, Toshi, Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe), Sami Yaffa (Hanoi Rocks), Jay Butler (Grand Theft Audio), and Victoria Liedtke.

This is more than just a release—it’s a lifeline. Every purchase and every share helps support Scott and his family through this fight.
