Avalanche Unleash Hard Rock Fury with New Single Down for the Count
Debut Album Armed to the Teeth Coming February 2026 via MGM
Sydney’s heavy-hitting hard rockers Avalanche are back with a vengeance, delivering a thunderous new single Down for the Count—a no-nonsense rock anthem that packs a punch as fierce as its title suggests. It’s the latest taste of their upcoming debut full-length, Armed to the Teeth, landing February 13, 2026 via MGM.

A Fighter’s Anthem Built to Last
Gritty, loud, and loaded with raw energy, Down for the Count is a raucous celebration of resilience. It’s Avalanche doing what they do best: bone-rattling riffs, shout-along choruses, and vocals that hit like a right hook. From the boxing ring to the stadium, this track is built to stir the soul and shake the walls.
The accompanying video, filmed between a boxing gym and their recent tour stops in Japan, brings the song’s fighter’s spirit to life—blending sweat, swagger, and a dose of chaos.
On Tour with Airbourne + Rock Cruise Royalty
Avalanche are set to support fellow Aussie rock icons Airbourne across Europe and the UK in early 2026, spreading their gritty, anthemic sound across major cities. Later in the year, they’ll hop aboard the Rock the Boat cruise alongside legends like Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) and Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses).
Armed to the Teeth: Years in the Making
Produced by Grammy-nominated, ARIA-winning producer Steve James, Armed to the Teeth is the culmination of over two years of grinding, gigging, and giving it all. Featuring 13 high-octane tracks (including a CD-only bonus), it’s a battle cry from a band whose sound echoes AC/DC, but stands firmly on its own.
Lead singer Steven Campbell explains:
“‘Armed To The Teeth’ has been over 2 years in the making, it is quite literally our blood, sweat and beers!… To be touring it with our childhood heroes Airbourne is an absolute dream come true.”
The album’s title track was inspired by Airbourne’s Joel O’Keeffe, who called it “one of the best new rock songs” he’s heard, even likening it to Let There Be Rock. Praise doesn’t come much higher.
