Ben Quad Embrace Poppier Vibes on “Very Big in Sheboygan”
Post-emo outfit Ben Quad have unveiled “Very Big in Sheboygan,” the final single from their upcoming album Wisher, set for release on 14th November 2025 via Pure Noise Records. The track arrives alongside a playful music video capturing behind-the-scenes moments from the album’s recording process at a New Jersey farm.

Blending earnest pop leanings with the emotional heft of their post-emo roots, the track marks a sonic shift for the Oklahoma band. “Very Big in Sheboygan” was originally written as a heavier track, but synth hooks and glitchy guitars pushed it into lighter, more melodic territory.
“It feels good to put out a proper love song,” says guitarist Edgar Viveros. “We’re leaning into a poppier lane for sure on this one, but there’s also so much energy and deliberation that we put into the instrumentals, I think anyone, not just the lovebirds, will enjoy it.”
Inspired by Viveros’ own long-distance relationship, the song channels the emotional highs and quiet hardships of love that spans miles. It follows earlier singles “Painless” and “It’s Just a Title,” which explored themes of grief and existential struggle — themes that Wisher as a whole seems to move beyond.
Wisher Out 14th November
Serving as the follow-up to their 2022 debut I’m Scared That’s All There Is, Wisher reflects a more mature and hopeful outlook. Produced by Jon Markson (The Story So Far, Drug Church), the record was crafted during an immersive studio residency on a rural New Jersey farm — a creative environment that allowed the band to dig deep and reshape their sound.
The album features guest appearances from Zayna Youssef, Sam Canty, and Nathan Hardy. A limited-edition vinyl release is available now for pre-order, including bundles via Ben Quad’s store.
