Bruise Control drop explosive new single and announce headline tour

“Gone to ground is an exploration of the kind of apathetic, helpless and angry feelings we all have when it comes to keeping it all together.” — Jim Taylor

Bruise Control Share Ripping New Single Gone To Ground + Announce UK/EU Headline Tour

Manchester’s most unruly indie-punk outfit Bruise Control have released their latest single Gone To Ground, along with an official music video, just ahead of their headline UK and EU tour kicking off this month.

Fusing the jagged energy of ‘80s hardcore with the swagger of ‘00s indie, Bruise Control—Jim Taylor (vocals), Niall Griffin (guitar), Ru Gilfillan (bass), and Tommy Victor Morris (drums)—continue to evolve their hook-heavy, self-produced sound with a mix of grit, urgency, and sardonic insight.

On Gone To Ground, Taylor reflects on the unease bubbling beneath the surface:

“It’s an exploration of the kind of apathetic, helpless and angry feelings we all have when it comes to keeping it all together… nothing ever being perfect, and how much time we spend on the smaller things in life instead of looking towards common ground.”

Guitarist Griffin adds, “I was trying to write a Spiritual Cramp song.” The result is a tightly-wound, razor-cut single that lands somewhere between The Fall and FIDLAR with a distinctly British bite.
