Halsey Drops Electrifying New Track “safeword” with NSFW Video

Fresh off the announcement of their “Halsey: My Last Trick” tour, Halsey has delivered their first new release since The Great Impersonator—the sultry and provocative “safeword”. Alongside the song, the genre-blurring artist has unveiled a bold and boundary-pushing video, which they teased earlier this week.

This latest offering continues Halsey’s tradition of blending raw lyricism with genre-defying soundscapes, adding yet another layer to their ever-evolving artistry.

A Chart-Dominating Force

Halsey’s career has been nothing short of meteoric. With over 50 billion global streams and multiple RIAA-certified albums, they remain a dominant force in modern music. Their most recent album, The Great Impersonator, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart and reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Beyond music, Halsey has expanded their creative reach with the success of about-face and af94, two of the fastest-growing cosmetic brands, as well as their best-selling poetry collection, I Would Leave Me If I Could. Named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People, they continue to use their platform for advocacy, speaking up for causes including mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, and women’s rights.

With the release of “safeword”, Halsey is proving once again why they remain one of the most compelling artists of their generation.
