I Prevail Unleash Emotional Fury on New Single ‘Pray’

“It’s about the moment when someone close to you burns you, and then has the nerve to feel sorry for you. This song is about letting go of that pity, realising you are better off without them.”

A blistering new chapter begins for the two-time GRAMMY-nominated juggernauts.
I Prevail have officially dropped Violent Nature, their fourth and most uncompromising record to date, out now via Fearless Records. Marking the occasion is the release of the music video for Pray, a standout track that captures the album’s rawest emotional nerve.

Haunting Calm to Violent Catharsis

Pray opens with a deceptive calm—haunting acoustic textures drawing the listener into a false sense of security before exploding into a full-throttle emotional reckoning. It’s a sonic tug-of-war between fragility and ferocity, carried by soaring choruses and a pulverizing breakdown.

I PREVAIL by BY REILLY CLARK

Frontman Eric Vanlerberghe calls it one of his favorites on the record:

“It’s about the moment when someone close to you burns you, and then has the nerve to feel sorry for you. This song is about letting go of that pity, realising you are better off without them.”

A New Era for I Prevail

Violent Nature sees the band at their most unified and self-contained, produced entirely by bassist Jon Eberhard with no outside writers or producers. The record pushes deeper into both extremes—harder hits, catchier melodies, and sharper emotion. It’s a clear statement: I Prevail are no longer just rising—they’ve arrived.

Among the ten tracks are previous singles Rain, Into Hell, and the thunderous title track Violent Nature. With Vanlerberghe now commanding both clean and unclean vocals, the band’s identity feels more distilled and defined than ever.

“We believe that this is the most cohesive I Prevail record we’ve ever created,” says Vanlerberghe. “Heavy parts getting heavier and melodic parts getting catchier.”
