Kid Kapichi Drop Introspective New Single Worst Kept Secret Ahead of Album Fearless Nature
Hastings duo Kid Kapichi return with Worst Kept Secret — a slow-burning, emotionally raw new single that marks a bold step forward for the band. Released today via Spinefarm, the track offers a personal glimpse into the themes behind their upcoming third album Fearless Nature, out 16th January 2026.
Blending the melancholy of Unkle and Richard Ashcroft with the sharp hooks and observational bite that have long defined their sound, Worst Kept Secret explores the delicate grey zone between friendship and something more.
“It’s about being in that nether zone of are we friends, or more? Both knowing it’s more, but neither able to fully commit or ask those questions.” — Jack Wilson

Fearless Nature — A Band Reborn
Worst Kept Secret is just one piece of Fearless Nature, an album that reflects a creative reinvention and a deeper emotional focus. Produced by Mike Horner, former guitarist Ben Beetham, and the band themselves, it captures Kid Kapichi facing their fears and forging a louder, more introspective sound. Frontman Jack Wilson points to the album as a document of survival — written during one of the darkest periods of his life.

“Listening back now I hear that fear, but it’s also comforting to know how quickly things can change for the better.”
From confronting personal demons to wrestling with change, Fearless Nature doesn’t shy away from discomfort — instead, it leans into it, resulting in a record full of raw reflections and bold sonic shifts.
