CLOBBER RETURN STRONGER THAN EVER WITH NEW SINGLE AND EP
London punk outfit Clobber have clawed their way back from the edge with the explosive new single Be Someone — the first taste of their freshly announced EP God Loves, Man Kills, landing August 1st via Venn Records.

A defiant anthem born from frontman Charlie Longman’s bleakest moments, Be Someone finds the band at their most raw and resilient yet. Written during a dark stretch that saw Charlie battling loss, health scares and suicidal thoughts, the track stands as a rallying cry to keep pushing that rock uphill, no matter how heavy it gets.
“2024 started as the worst year of my life… and before you know it, 2024 became the best year of my life. Be Someone is about finding the courage to live again in spite of how hard it might be sometimes,” Charlie says.
Produced and mixed by Matt Williams and Jack Longman (Higher Power), the three-track EP God Loves, Man Kills promises Clobber’s heaviest, nastiest work yet — confronting everything from toxic scenes to state violence with ferocious honesty. It’s the London bruisers at their most ambitious and volatile, just in time for a summer packed with huge festival spots.

Having just signed with EU booking heavyweights Stronger Bookings (Turnstile, End It), Clobber will take God Loves, Man Kills on the road with dates at 2000 Trees, Rebellion Festival, and Revolution Calling in the Netherlands. It’s more proof that these DIY punks are rapidly becoming one of the UK’s fiercest live bands — and they’re not about to soften the edges any time soon.
