Manchester Punks ROKO MOUTH Return With Blistering Track Collective

“‘Leave it up to the collective’ isn’t a solution; it’s exhaustion, avoidance, and a hope that someone else might still know what they’re doing.”

ROKO MOUTH Ignite Political Fury on New Single Collective

Manchester’s fastest-rising punk agitators ROKO MOUTH are back with a vengeance. Their new single ‘COLLECTIVE’ lands as their first release of the year — a serrated blast of agitation and satire aimed squarely at today’s fraught political climate.

The track arrives with a suitably unhinged music video and captures a band sharpening both their sound and their message. If 2025 saw them building momentum, 2026 kicks off with teeth bared.

A Soundtrack for Political Burnout

‘COLLECTIVE’ dissects the suffocating pressure to constantly take a side in an age where neutrality feels like treason. It’s a song that thrives on tension — musically and thematically — staging a warped back-and-forth between two friends locked in ideological combat.

The band explain:

“‘COLLECTIVE’ is about political burnout and the pressure to constantly pick a side, where every opinion feels demanded and neutrality itself becomes suspect. It captures the feeling of being buried in noise, opinions, and second-hand outrage, where even neutrality feels like a risk. The song moves between aggression and satire, staging a warped argument between two people who still call each other friends.

‘Leave it up to the collective’ isn’t a solution; it’s exhaustion, avoidance, and a hope that someone else might still know what they’re doing.”

Sonically, it’s as feral as anything in their catalogue — jagged riffs, pummelling drums and a sneer that cuts through the din. There’s theatre in the delivery too, a swagger that nods to the showmanship of Elvis Presley while keeping one boot planted firmly in the confrontational lineage of The Clash, The Ramones, and the modern punch of Turnstile.

Built for the Stage

ROKO MOUTH have always thrived in sweat-soaked rooms, and they’re marking this new chapter the right way — with three intimate headline shows that promise chaos in close quarters.

ROKO MOUTH Headline Dates 2026

  • 05/03 | Blondies, London
  • 14/03 | Le Pub, Newport
  • 19/03 | Lions Den, Manchester

With a reputation forged in the smaller venues of Manchester — including a sold-out early headline at the Star & Garter — the band’s live reputation continues to snowball. Each lineup shift has only intensified their chemistry, with Charlotte Redhead’s arrival on drums adding even more volatility to an already combustible mix.

Momentum Building Into 2026

Since erupting onto the Manchester scene in May 2024, ROKO MOUTH have wasted no time. From their self-recorded debut EP Open Your Mouth to 2025’s Peach Fuzz EP, they’ve steadily expanded both their discography and their audience. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with the likes of SWMRS and Dear Seattle, earning co-signs and carving out space in an increasingly crowded UK punk landscape.

Now, with ‘COLLECTIVE’, they sound sharper, louder and more politically charged than ever — a band not just reacting to the chaos around them, but weaponising it.
