Glasgow’s HEEDZ Are Waging War on Boredom with Shitpunk Anthems
From the scuzzy underbelly of Glasgow’s punk scene comes HEEDZ, a turbo-charged power trio bringing pure chaos with a side of weird. Formed in 2024, the band deals in a self-styled genre they’ve lovingly dubbed “Shitpunk”—a blitz of shout-along hooks, warped humour, and riffs that sound like they were beamed in from a particularly deranged level of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.
Their music is an all-out assault on the mundane, with songs that turn everyday drudgery into cartoonish nightmares. From the sweaty paranoia of “PIGZ IN THE PARK” to the supernatural sleaze of “DEVILZ DUST”, HEEDZ lean into the absurd and come out swinging. And if you’ve ever wanted to scream “FIGHT ME, DAD!” in a crowd of strangers, well, you’re in the right place.

With Isaac (bass/vocals), Dave K (guitar/vocals), and Nicky (drums/heavy attack vocals) at the helm, HEEDZ’s collective pedigree in the Scottish underground scene (including their previous stint in GOTH GF) gives them the chops to back up their chaos.
Live Shows That Border on Possession
HEEDZ’s reputation for turning dead rooms into all-out punk rituals is spreading fast. In their first year alone, they’ve shared stages with cult acts like Joe & The Shit Boys (Faroe Islands) and DARTZ (NZ), and opened for local heroes The Bleeders, Frantic Love, and Water Machine.
A DIY headline show at Stereo, Glasgow, proved they can pull a crowd on their own terms, and a wild set at Solfest’s Wastelands stage cemented their status as a band built for chaos and open-air mayhem.
What’s Next?
HEEDZ are back with another blast of riotous punk fury in the form of “PIGZ IN THE PARK”, a true cautionary tale for our times. A chilling, tongue-in-cheek glimpse into a Britain gone mad—where opening a cold Tennent’s in the sunshine is treated like an act of terrorism, swigging Buckfast on a bench gets you exiled, and taking a quick piss behind a tree might earn you public execution.
Equal parts comic-book chaos and real-world rage, this sarcastic, shout-along anthem takes aim at creeping authoritarianism, petty policing, and the general absurdity of modern public life. With their signature blend of gallows humour, breakneck riffs, and cartoonish political snarl, HEEDZ channel the spirit of Dead Kennedys, Descendents, NOFX, and The Chats, filtered through their own gleefully unhinged Scottish lens.
With a full album slated for 2026, HEEDZ are just getting started—and they’re not slowing down for anyone.
