Michael Monroe Drops Anthemic New Single Disconnected

“You’re on stage, and you communicate with the audience who are there, in that moment. That’s where the magic really happens.”

Michael Monroe Unleashes Second Single Disconnected Ahead of Outerstellar Album

Michael Monroe is back and louder than ever. The glam punk icon has released Disconnected, the second single from his upcoming album Outerstellar, landing February 20 via Silver Lining Music. Bristling with anthemic energy and raw emotion, Disconnected is a rallying cry against digital alienation and a fierce reminder of the power of live music.

“Technology was supposed to bring people closer together, when, in fact, people are more disconnected than ever,” says Monroe. “The Internet can’t take away the experience of being at a live show… That’s where the magic really happens.”

Directed by Leigh Brooks, the video for Disconnected captures that magic with urgency and swagger, affirming Monroe’s unshakable belief in the live connection between artist and audience.

Outerstellar Set to Ignite in February

Monroe’s upcoming album Outerstellar promises an all-in, full-tilt rock ‘n’ roll experience. From grinding guitars to bluesy harmonicas and shimmering ballads, it’s a record that smells like leather, glows with glitter, and punches with purpose.

Following the defiant first single Rockin’ Horse—a blast at critics and conformity—Outerstellar continues to carve out Monroe’s uncompromising path. With 12 tracks dripping in soul, fire, and fun, it’s more than an album—it’s a liberation.

“You’ll sing, you’ll dance, you’ll shiver, you’ll shake,” the official statement promises, “and you’ll smell this wonderful exhilarating record in all its weathered biker jacket incense-coated glory.”
