Royal Republic Resurrect Disco Mayhem with Cover of Venus

“Fans of Royal Republic have come to expect the unexpected, but they never expected something THIS unexpected!”

Royal Republic Unleash The Blastbeaters in Wild New Mini-Series

Sweden’s wildest rock’n’roll export, Royal Republic, have kicked off their most unpredictable chapter yet—a bold and blazing cover of Shocking Blue’s classic ‘Venus’, reimagined as the soundtrack for a four-part mini-series that blends disco glitz with metal grit.

This high-octane rendition marks the first installment in a saga centered on The Blastbeaters, a fictional Black Metal band hurtling toward world domination in true Spinal Tap-meets-Sabbath fashion. Decked out in corpse paint, slamming down riffs, and tearing around in a beat-up Volvo 140, The Blastbeaters are Royal Republic like you’ve never seen them before.

This is more than just a cover; it’s a genre-bending spectacle. Every new video promises another layer of chaos, humor, and heavy-metal absurdity—an episodic epic told through some of the greatest disco hits ever recorded.

And as if that wasn’t enough, the band are taking their LoveCop tour back on the road with a fresh batch of UK dates added for 2025 and 2026.
