Alice Cooper Band Reunites After Five Decades for New Album “The Revenge of Alice Cooper”

For the first time in over 50 years, the original Alice Cooper group has reunited for a brand-new studio album, The Revenge of Alice Cooper, out July 25 via earMUSIC. The long-anticipated return of shock rock’s founding fathers sees Alice Cooper, Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway, and Neal Smith stepping back into the studio with legendary producer Bob Ezrin to summon the spirit—and the sound—of their 1970s heyday.
A Venomous Lead Single: “Black Mamba” Out Now
Released today, the album’s first single, “Black Mamba,” channels the sinister swagger fans remember, with a special appearance by Robby Krieger of The Doors. The track is a snarling introduction to the album’s twisted rock n’ roll universe, filled with pounding rhythms and slithering guitar riffs.
Vintage Shock Rock Reborn
The Revenge of Alice Cooper is positioned as a spiritual sequel to the band’s iconic early records: Love It to Death, Killer, School’s Out, and Billion Dollar Babies. The album balances the gruesome grandeur of vintage horror with fist-pumping classic rock energy. Among the standout moments is “What Happened To You,” which features a posthumous performance by original guitarist Glen Buxton via a previously unreleased recording—a moment that binds the past and present like a séance with six strings.
Another gem, available only on the limited box set and smart format poster, is a newly unearthed 1970 alternate take of “Return of The Spiders,” remixed by Bob Ezrin from rediscovered multi-tracks.
Recorded the Old-School Way
The group reunited with Ezrin in a Connecticut studio, where the raw chemistry they once shared was reignited. From the anthemic rebellion of “Wild Ones” to the eerie balladry of “See You on the Other Side,” the album captures the gritty, theatrical essence that made Alice Cooper more than just a band—it made them a movement.
