ArcTanGent Festival 2026 Expands Its Monumental Line-Up
The UK’s most beloved left-of-centre rock festival just got even bigger. ArcTanGent Festival, set to take over Fernhill Farm from 19–22 August, has unveiled a second wave of artists, bolstering an already heavy-hitting bill with exclusive sets, surprise returns, and cult favourites.
Arcane Roots Return After 7 Years Away
At the top of the new announcement is the long-awaited live return of Arcane Roots, who just this week dropped their first new track in over seven years and signed to Big Scary Monsters. Fresh off their surprise reunion, their set at ATG is poised to be a defining moment of the weekend—and it’s one of only two festival slots they’ll play this year.
Eivør’s Only UK Show, Maruja’s Ascent, and Master Boot Record’s Debut
Also joining the 2026 roster is Faroese singer Eivør, delivering a haunting, cinematic performance as a UK-exclusive. Maruja, fresh from blowing minds at ATG 2024, return with exponentially more hype. Italian cyber-metal wizard Master Boot Record will make his ATG debut, bringing his fusion of synth, metal and code to the stage.
From the emotionally cinematic sounds of Nordic Giants to the blistering noise of Pupil Slicer, this wave spans genres and continents. Other standouts include shoegaze stalwarts Nothing, avant-metal boundary-breakers Papangu, post-metal bruisers Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, and the unpin-downable polymath Jamie Lenman.
Festival Organisers: “Our Best-Selling Year Yet”
Festival organiser James Scarlett is clear: “ArcTanGent 2026 is officially our best-selling edition by a country mile… and we’re buzzing to be adding another huge wave of artists.” He highlights the dramatic rise of acts like Maruja and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, who’ve shot up the bill since their last appearances, and underlines the exclusivity of artists like Eivør, Nothing, and Master Boot Record.
Still to Come: A Tidal Wave of Sound
With Primus, Chelsea Wolfe, and Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas (performing Mariner) already locked in as headliners, plus legends like Napalm Death, Sikth, Igorrr, and High On Fire in tow, ArcTanGent 2026 is shaping up to be its most expansive and daring edition yet.
