Imminence push deeper into the Axis Mundi mythology with Crestfallen video
Imminence have released a new video for Crestfallen, continuing the shadowy narrative running through their sixth album, Axis Mundi.
The track is one of the more atmospheric turns on the record, pairing Eddie Berg’s clean vocals and violin with electronic detail, orchestral flourishes and the band’s heavier metalcore undercurrent. Its new visual expands the mythological world established in the videos for The Sword That Never Bends, False Light and If Not Now, When.
At the heart of the interconnected story is an immortal knight condemned to wander in search of his own death. Pursued by a sinister figure known as the Shadow, he travels towards the Axis Mundi, a passage between the worlds of life and death.
A cinematic chapter from Axis Mundi
The video forms part of the wider Axis Mundi film project, created with Sumerian Pictures and directed by Pavel Trebukhin. The film, which uses several songs from the album, recently received cinema screenings across the UK, Europe, the US and Australia.
