Ayron Jones sets February release for Excuse Me

“Not every connection is meant to last, but there’s beauty in the experience. Some are deep, some are raw and visceral, but they all leave their mark.”

Ayron Jones announces Excuse Me and unveils new single Glad You Came

Ayron Jones has announced his new album, Excuse Me, due for release on 26th February 2027 via Thirty Tigers. The Seattle-bred singer, guitarist and songwriter has also shared its lead single, Glad You Came.

Recorded in Nashville with longtime collaborator Marti Frederiksen, the album finds Jones drawing heavily on the grunge and hard rock instincts at the centre of his sound. The 10-track record is described as a direct response to personal pressure, economic anxiety and a wider sense of uncertainty, with drop-tuned guitars and soulful vocals carrying songs shaped by anger, isolation and survival.

Glad You Came opens the campaign with a dark, slow-burning edge. Jones frames the track as an examination of intense relationships, self-accountability and the often messy search for forgiveness.

“Glad You Came is about those intense connections that pull us in, sometimes for reasons we don’t fully understand,” Jones says. “Sometimes we lose ourselves in someone else, only to discover who we really are. That feeling is something I tried to embody in the music, with a dark, seductive edge rooted in the Seattle sound I grew up with.

“Not every connection is meant to last, but there’s beauty in the experience. Some are deep, some are raw and visceral, but they all leave their mark. And in the end, you can look back with a smile and say, ‘I’m glad you came.’”

Expanding on the song’s theme, he adds: “It’s easy to point the finger and blame others for situations. We chase after relationships or people because we’re trying to heal ourselves. We’re searching for an answer that lives outside ourselves. But at the end of the day, it’s all about you.”

A record shaped by the present

Jones says Excuse Me represents a deliberate move away from the image and expectations that had begun to surround him. “I was becoming a character, but that character wasn’t truly based on me,” he says. “It was something the industry put together to help sell records. This is me.”

He adds: “The album is a sign of the times and a proclamation simultaneously. We have a lot of escape music right now. It’s happy and distracting music, but the price of eggs and gas are skyrocketing and people are feeling pretty dismal. This record is a reflection of that.”

The album’s track list runs as follows:

  1. Strike Of A Match
  2. Glad You Came
  3. Hollywood
  4. What You Need
  5. A La Prochaine
  6. Fate
  7. Freedom
  8. When My Day Comes
  9. Coming Of A New Age
  10. Hang On
