Breed 77 set first album in 13 years VII for November release alongside UK dates
Breed 77 have announced VII, their first new studio album in 13 years. The flamenco metal outfit will release the 11-track record on Friday 13 November 2026, arriving in the middle of a UK tour that includes a release-day show in Manchester.
The album follows the band’s return to live stages in 2024 and brings together recent singles End Of The Line, Outside and Just Act Like You Know with eight previously unheard tracks.
Frontman Paul Isola said the record was made across three countries over a year and a half, with its extended creation shaping its broad musical scope.
“The recording of this album has taken place over a year and a half and three countries, the writing of it even more – it wasn’t the most ideal situation but I think we thrive through adversity,” Isola said. “You take negatives and turn them into positives, use the time, hone the songs, develop them and explore where they take you. The result is an album with real musical depth.”
A record shaped by riffs, flamenco and restless ideas
Isola describes VII as a record that stretches Breed 77’s familiar foundations without abandoning the elements that have defined their sound. Flamenco guitar, tribal rhythms and sharp metal riffs remain central, but the new material also moves through ballads and more exploratory arrangements.
“This album still sounds like Breed 77,” he said. “I mean, there’s the flamenco guitars, the tribal rhythms, the hooky vocal lines, but it stretches and pulls at the concept of B77 in a dozen different directions – it’s Breed evolved, somewhat familiar, but fresh and exciting.”
Lyrically, the record addresses alienation, individuality and the feeling of not fitting in. “It’s OK not to fit in, it’s OK to think different…it’s OK to BE different,” Isola added. “It’s the original thinkers that will save the world.”
