Deux Visages set debut album Call It Goodbye for November with new single Automatic
Deux Visages have announced their debut album, Call It Goodbye, due for release on 6 November via Pure Noise Records. The Philadelphia-based trio have also shared the new single Automatic, accompanied by a video.
The record follows a period of rapid change for vocalist Daphney Hanono, guitarist Jack Chiu and bassist Tony Jouvin, whose early releases and increasingly high-profile live dates led to a move from Miami to Philadelphia. Recorded in Miami with longtime collaborator Arquimides ‘Arkii’ Cala, Call It Goodbye gathers 11 tracks shaped by uncertainty, self-doubt and the difficult business of outgrowing old versions of yourself.
Automatic confronts early pressure
On Automatic, Hanono turns inward, addressing the pressure and unease that arrived with the band’s first record deal. The track moves through the group’s hazy, feedback-streaked sound while retaining the sharp dynamic shifts that have marked their recent material.
“A lot of this track has to do with things crashing down around us with our first record deal,” Hanono says. “It was our early days as a band and touring, and we weren’t feeling worthy or ready to handle all of these major changes.”

The album also features previous single Always You, the immediate rush of Behind, and its closing title track, which brings the record’s tension around time, change and departure into focus.
