Download Festival’s District X returns with its wildest line-up yet
As the countdown to Download Festival 2026 intensifies, organisers have unveiled the full chaos-packed programme for its after-dark playground, District X — and it’s as gloriously unhinged as ever.
Running from 10–14 June at Donington Park, District X once again stretches the boundaries of what a rock festival can be, blending live music, comedy, club nights and outright absurdity into one late-night universe.
With weekend camping tickets already snapped up, the message is clear: this is no sideshow — it’s an essential part of the Download experience.
Pop icons, cult favourites and unexpected turns
Leading the charge is none other than Five, making their long-awaited Download debut and bringing a dose of pure 90s pop energy to the fields of Donington. Expect mass singalongs when ‘Everybody Get Up’ and ‘Slam Dunk (Da Funk)’ hit.

They’re joined by the ever-irreverent Electric Six, whose tongue-in-cheek anthems remain tailor-made for late-night festival mayhem.
Elsewhere, The All-American Rejects will strip things back with a rare acoustic set, offering a different shade of nostalgia amid the noise.
Tickets are available now at www.downloadfestival.co.uk.
DJs, chaos agents and scene favourites
District X thrives on unpredictability, and 2026 doubles down. Expect DJ sets and appearances from the likes of Dick and Dom, Creeper, MODESTEP, Liam Cormier and Lucas Woodland.
Cormier will also pull double duty with Bat Sabbath — a crushing hybrid that’s become a cult favourite.
Meanwhile, tribute creativity hits new heights with TokenGrass and the brilliantly bizarre Nic Cage Against The Machine.

Comedy, bingo and everything in between
Beyond the music, District X leans fully into its anything-goes identity. The legendary The Comedy Store will host a stacked programme of stand-up, featuring a rotating cast of top-tier comedians.
Crowd participation is guaranteed with Bongo’s Bingo, Panic! At The Bingo and the brilliantly nostalgic James B. Partridge bringing his Primary School Bangers set to the stage.
Add in live podcasts, pub quizzes, karaoke and the gloriously ridiculous Heavy Metal Sports, and you’ve got a schedule that refuses to let the energy drop from dusk until dawn.
The bigger picture at Download 2026
While District X provides the nocturnal heartbeat, the main arena remains as heavyweight as ever. Headliners include Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses and Linkin Park, alongside a stacked supporting bill featuring A Day To Remember, Pendulum, BABYMETAL and many more.

A festival within a festival
District X has evolved far beyond a campsite curiosity — it’s now a defining pillar of Download itself. A place where genres collide, expectations disappear and the weird becomes wonderful.
With 2026’s line-up, it’s clear that Download isn’t just preserving its legacy — it’s actively reinventing what a rock festival can be.
