Halestorm Pays Tribute to Bad Company with Shooting Star Video

Halestorm and Paul Rodgers Team Up for “Shooting Star” Video

Halestorm has unveiled a striking new video for their rendition of “Shooting Star,” featuring none other than legendary frontman Paul Rodgers. The track is taken from Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute to Bad Company — the first-ever tribute album dedicated to the iconic British rock band.

Released today via Primary Wave Music, the album gathers a wide array of artists across rock, country, and Americana to honour a band whose influence has echoed for more than five decades. But it’s Halestorm’s soaring version of “Shooting Star” — with Lzzy Hale and Rodgers trading vocal power and grit — that stands out as a defining moment.

CAN’T GET ENOUGH – A TRIBUTE TO BAD COMPANY

Lzzy Hale Brings the Fire, Paul Rodgers Brings the Soul

“Joining a tribute album for Bad Company is more than covering songs; it’s adding a brushstroke to a masterpiece,” says Lzzy Hale. Her vocals hit with passion and reverence, a perfect match for Rodgers’ legendary tone. The Halestorm version was recorded in their Nashville studio, while Rodgers tracked his parts — including acoustic and electric guitar — at Matt Sorum’s Good Noise Studio in Palm Springs.

The chemistry between Hale and Rodgers, though recorded separately, bursts through the speakers.

“Lzzy vocally shook and rocked ‘Shooting Star’ into the stratosphere,” says Rodgers, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2025. “They touched my heart.”

A New Generation Honors a Classic Legacy

Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute to Bad Company is more than a celebration — it’s a hand-off between generations. The record features a genre-spanning cast, including Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, The Pretty Reckless, HARDY, Charley Crockett, and Joe Elliott and Phil Collen of Def Leppard.

Founded in 1973 by Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs, Bad Company’s songwriting helped shape rock as we know it. This tribute is a testament to their influence — and to the enduring power of songs like Shooting Star, now reborn with new urgency and heart.

The album is available now in limited-edition silver vinyl, CD, digital formats, and as part of exclusive merch bundles. HERE
