SAVE US explore distance and homesickness on new single Far
SAVE US have released Far, the latest single from their forthcoming debut album Death To Something, due on 16 October through Solid State Records.
The transcontinental trio’s new track arrives with an official video and finds vocalist Miguel Owls reflecting on the strain of pursuing a creative life far from home. Written while the band were recording their debut, Far channels the restlessness of extended time away from loved ones into a weighty, emotionally direct track.
Owls says: “Far will always hold a special place in my heart. It came to life right at the halfway point of being away from home while making the album, when the homesickness really started to hit. I was restless, missing everything familiar, and it was the longest I’d ever been away from my wife.”
He continues: “This song dives into that feeling, chasing something you’ve always dreamed of, while carrying the weight of being far from the person you love most. It’s that push and pull between purpose and pain.”

A debut shaped across continents
Produced by Landon Tewers, Death To Something was recorded in Michigan after the band’s members began collaborating remotely across the US and UK. Owls, guitarist Chris Biddiscombe and drummer Benji Havercroft initially connected online, with Biddiscombe and Havercroft writing from Bristol while Owls worked from California.
Discussing the name SAVE US, Owls says: “Chris and Benji were both ready to stop doing music. I was in the same boat. We were all on the edge of letting our dreams go. Out of nowhere, we found each other, went all the way in together, and the band genuinely saved us.”

SAVE US will support Saosin on the US leg of the band’s self-titled 20th anniversary tour this autumn, beginning in Anaheim on 23 October and closing in San Diego on 28 November.
