SLAYER Announces Monumental UK Headline Shows for 2024
For over four decades, SLAYER has set the gold standard for thrash metal—shaping the genre, igniting pits worldwide, and carving out a legacy of unrelenting speed, aggression, and power. Now, as they mark more than 40 years of chaos, the band is making history once again, announcing two colossal headline shows in the UK—their biggest-ever performances on British soil and their only European headline dates of 2024.
The unmissable outdoor events will take place at Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields on July 3rd and London’s Finsbury Park on July 6th, marking SLAYER’s first UK performances in six years. Fans can expect a career-spanning set, monstrous stage production, and a night of pure thrash fury that will go down in metal history.
But that’s not all—SLAYER isn’t coming alone. They’re bringing a brutal lineup of special guests to ensure these two nights are unrelenting from start to finish.
The Ultimate Thrash Assault: Who’s Joining the Mayhem?
- AMON AMARTH – The Viking warriors will charge into battle with their epic melodic death metal anthems and thunderous stage presence. Prepare to row!

Beyond these UK shows, SLAYER will be part of BLACK SABBATH’s “Back To The Beginning” final concert on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham—a historic event that marks only the third time SLAYER has shared a stage with SABBATH.
They’ll also return to Canada for the first time since 2019, headlining the FEQ Festival in Quebec on July 11th, and take centre stage at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 18th.
