Wednesday 13 Unleashes New Single ‘In Misery’ Ahead of Fiendish New Album

“There are too many love songs out there about people confessing their love to one another. I wanted to do the exact opposite, and confess the misery of being in a bad relationship” Wednesday 13

Wednesday 13 Debuts Gothic Rager ‘In Misery’ from Upcoming Album Mid Death Crisis

New LP Arrives April 25 via Napalm Records | UK Tour This July

The undead king of goth-punk, Wednesday 13, has dropped a brand-new single, In Misery—a gloomy, swaggering slab of sleaze-metal goth rock taken from his forthcoming album, Mid Death Crisis, due April 25 via Napalm Records.

Following the gloriously sinister single When The Devil Commands, this latest cut leans further into Wednesday’s twisted romanticism. With its eerie hooks and heavy genre-blending sound, In Misery sees the Duke of Spook reveling in toxic obsession.

“There are too many love songs out there about people confessing their love to one another. I wanted to do the exact opposite, and confess the misery of being in a bad relationship. Hopelessly, madly in misery with someone. I see it every day, people miserable together. I see it almost as much as I see people happily together. Some people enjoy misery, and this song is about enjoying that misery as much as someone in love.” says Wednesday 13.

A Crisis Worth Dying For

Mid Death Crisis is shaping up to be one of Wednesday 13’s most dynamic releases to date. Produced by Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death) and mixed by Steve Evetts (Prong, Dillinger Escape Plan), the album balances high-octane horror anthems with snarling 80s metal theatrics. Expect industrial-tinged chaos (Decease and Desist), theatrical ballads (Decapitation), and gritty sleaze rock romps (No Apologies ft. Taime Downe of Faster Pussycat).

After the success of 2022’s Horrifier and his Murderdolls reunion shows, Mid Death Crisis confirms that Wednesday 13 isn’t just surviving—he’s thriving in the shadows.
