Yungblud Expands Idols Era With Idols II And Grammy Triumph
Britain’s most combustible modern rock export, Yungblud, has dropped Idols II, the long-awaited second chapter of his ambitious concept era — and he’s done it fresh from a history-making night at the Grammy Awards.
Out now via Island Records/Locomotion, Idols II expands the Idols universe with six new tracks, including the towering focus cut ‘Suburban Requiem’, accompanied by a striking animated visualiser. The release also features the collaborative version of ‘Zombie’ with alt-rock titans The Smashing Pumpkins.
“This is it. The second chapter of the Idols story,” Yungblud says. “Part 1 was a journey that helped me reclaim my identity from the darkest position I’ve ever been in my life. Part 2 is about realising that I am alive, that I am real… that this journey didn’t kill me.”
From Survival To Invincibility
Where 2025’s Idols documented a battle for selfhood, Idols II feels like rebirth. There’s grandeur and grit in equal measure — theatrical rock swings, bruised confessionals, and the kind of chorus designed to ricochet around arenas.
Alongside the album’s digital release, available for pre-order and releasing later this year, the physical collection includes a Yungblud store-exclusive ‘Idols (Complete)’ 180g 2LP audiophile vinyl and CD, both featuring all 19 tracks from ‘Idols’ and ‘Idols II’ (pre-order HERE), as well as a silver transparent ‘Idols II’ vinyl with new cover artwork (pre-order HERE).
Critical praise has followed swiftly. Kerrang! declared Dom Harrison has “saved the best till last,” while NME hailed the project as “a king-sized statement from the crown prince of rock.”

Grammy Glory And A Historic First
Earlier this month in Los Angeles, Yungblud secured his first Grammy win, taking home Best Rock Performance at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards for his electrifying rendition of ‘Changes’ at Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park.
With three nominations in the rock categories — Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album — he became the first British artist to achieve that feat in a single year.
The victory crowns a seismic run that has already seen Idols become his third consecutive UK Number One album, followed by a fourth chart-topper with One More Time, his collaboration with Aerosmith — marking the Boston legends’ first-ever UK Number One.
Arena Takeover Incoming
Fans will hear the new material live imminently. In April, Yungblud embarks on a sold-out UK arena tour, culminating at The O2 Arena on 24 April 2026 — a fitting stage for an artist who continues to stretch British rock to its loudest and most vulnerable extremes.
From Yorkshire bedrooms to global arenas, Yungblud’s rise has been fuelled by restless ambition, punk spirit and a refusal to sit quietly. With Idols II, the story doesn’t just continue — it escalates.
