New Found Glory, Reuben and Creeper join 2000trees’ 20th anniversary celebrations

2000trees Festival has unveiled the first wave for its 20th anniversary edition, with New Found Glory set to close the main stage and play two exclusive sets across the Gloucestershire weekend.

The Florida pop-punk stalwarts will mark 30 years of the band at Upcote Farm, including a Friday deep-cuts performance in the Forest. The anniversary shows will arrive in tribute to guitarist Chad Gilbert, with the band saying: “All year we have been working on shows in 2027 to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of NFG. Chad was a part of all these plans and will be there in spirit with us as we celebrate with our fans all around the world. And like BEANS ON TOAST we’re excited to kick it off with the 2000trees announcement in the UK!”

Reuben reunion heads to Upcote Farm

Also confirmed is an exclusive appearance from Reuben, marking the first time the band will play 2000trees. Frontman Jamie Lenman has been a familiar presence at the festival over the years, but this set brings his former band to the Trees stage for the first time.

Elsewhere, Creeper, Mannequin Pussy and The Menzingers join the bill, with the latter set to perform a 10th anniversary show for After The Party. Fever 333, unpeople, Chalk, Bayside, Vower, Lonely The Brave and Native James are also among the first names announced.

Lonely The Brave’s appearance will see the group reunite with original vocalist Dave Jakes for their first show together in a decade, while INME will perform a special 2007 anniversary set. Cheltenham post-hardcore outfit Crooks will also play their first gig since 2016.

Native James said: “I can’t believe it! I’ll be so real, to have a place on the Main Stage is just nuts. It’s Naruto runs all day until I play… let’s create carnage.”

The Revival Tour takes over the Forest

The Friday Forest stage will host a takeover from The Revival Tour, curated by Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music. The acoustic-led travelling collective will feature Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem, Dave Hause, Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio, Tim Barry, Emily Barker and Jenny Owen Youngs.

Festival organiser James Scarlett said: “I’m very proud of where we are as we come into celebrating 20 years. It is still the original six friends that started 2000trees and we’re all still involved in some way, and that isn’t going to change. We’ve held on to be independent and continued our original aim, which was to create a festival that we would want to go to ourselves and nurture new artists just as much as we want to celebrate the bigger acts.”

More names in the first wave

The opening announcement also includes The Meffs, Electric Six, Baby Lasagna, Barbarians of California, Taylor Acorn, Archers, Sincere Engineer, The Chisel, Chalk Hands, False Reality, Gen and the Degenerates, Mile End, Pintglass, Silly Goose, Spite House and The Spook School.

2000trees Festival takes place at Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham, from Wednesday 7 July to Saturday 10 July 2027. Tickets are on sale now.
