BLOODSTOCK 2025: The Ultimate Metal Experience Unleashed
With 2024’s BLOODSTOCK Festival already carving its name into history, the team behind the UK’s premier heavy metal event is wasting no time in gearing up for 2025. This year’s juggernaut promises to be even bigger, with an explosive announcement of 19 bands, including all three headliners, for the festival scheduled at Catton Park, Derbyshire, from August 7th-10th, 2025.
A Triumphant Trio of Headliners
BLOODSTOCK 2025 will be headlined by three giants of the metal world:
- Friday: The UK’s adopted metal titans, Trivium, are set to ignite the stage. “The UK is like a second home for us,” says frontman Matthew K. Heafy. “This headline set will span our entire 20-year history, and we’re bringing ‘Ascendancy’ to life like never before.”
- Saturday: Prepare for mayhem with Machine Head. Robb Flynn and company are returning after their unforgettable secret show in 2022. “Bloodstock, get ready because Machine F**kin’ Head is coming to town, and we want to see all you Head Cases lose it! BEERS UP!” Flynn exclaims.
- Sunday: Fresh off their Olympic-sized performance, Gojira will close out the festival. Joe Duplantier keeps it simple: “Hold on to your socks, it’s gonna be brutal!!!”
Sophie Lancaster Stage Headliners Revealed
The Sophie Lancaster stage will also witness some heavy-hitters:
- Thursday: Nergal’s dark project, Me and That Man, will cast their spell.
- Friday: Canadian death metal powerhouse Kataklysm will bring the noise.
- Saturday: Static-X is set to electrify the night.
- Sunday: The legendary Obituary will deliver a crushing finale.
More Acts and Surprises Await
The lineup doesn’t stop there. Emperor, Lacuna Coil, and Orange Goblin are among the notable names gracing Friday’s Ronnie James Dio stage, with the likes of Creeper and Kublai Khan TX shaking things up on Saturday. The Black Dahlia Murder, Feuerschwanz, and Lord of the Lost will join the Sunday bill, rounding off a killer lineup.
Special guests on the Sophie Lancaster stage include All For Metal (Thursday), Breed 77 (Saturday), and 3 Inches of Blood (Sunday), with even more bands yet to be announced.
