“The Darkness, Brothers Osborne and A, veritable Bands of Brothers, rocking in a huge rectangular (or domed) building – what could be more powerful than that?” – Justin Hawkins

The Darkness Announce Largest Headline Tour in 20 Years

Massive UK Arena Run Set for December 2026, Joined by Brothers Osborne and A

The Darkness are officially back – louder, bolder, and headed for their biggest UK headline tour in two decades. The beloved British rock band will storm arenas across the country in December 2026, playing seven massive shows culminating in their first-ever headline performance at London’s iconic O2 Arena.

Kicking off December 8th in Glasgow, the tour promises a stacked night of guitar-driven spectacle, as the group is joined by GRAMMY-winning American country rockers Brothers Osborne and the enduring UK alt-rock band A, in what frontman Justin Hawkins is calling a “Bands of Brothers” affair.

The Darkness 2026 Arena tour

This arena blitz follows the chart-scorching success of Dreams On Toast, the band’s eighth studio album, which landed at No.2 on the UK Official Albums Chart in April 2025 — their highest chart position since 2003’s Permission to Land, now hailed as the most successful British rock album of the 21st century.

Hawkins, never one to shy away from flamboyant philosophy, had this to say about the tour:

“Powerful rock was designed to be played in huge rectangular buildings. Huge rectangular buildings were designed to house powerful rock bands. The Darkness are a powerful rock band…”

Before embarking on this massive UK run, The Darkness will warm up with a seismic one-off at Knebworth Park on July 11th, performing alongside Iron Maiden for what promises to be a high-voltage celebration of British rock history.
