The Molotovs to Headline Christmas Party at Bush Hall in Support of Music Venue Trust
The Molotovs are capping off a banner year with a very special Christmas gig at Bush Hall, west London, on Thursday 11th December, raising vital funds for the Music Venue Trust. Profits from the night will go directly to supporting the UK’s grassroots music venues — the same scene that helped launch the band’s unstoppable rise.
With special guests promised and the chance to see the fast-rising rockers in an intimate setting, the night is set to be a celebratory, full-throttle thank-you to the venues and fans that helped shape them. Entry is available by either buying a ticket or pre-ordering their debut album Wasted On Youth via Sister Ray in Soho.

From Lockdown to Legend: 600 Gigs and Counting
Still just 17 and 19, siblings Mathew and Issey Cartlidge have already gigged more than most veteran bands — over 600 shows since forming during lockdown. Their DIY hustle and infectious energy have won them not just a devoted fanbase but shout-outs from Green Day and Paul Weller, and slots alongside icons like The Libertines, Blondie, Iggy Pop, Sex Pistols, and The Damned.
Bush Hall holds a special place in their journey, having hosted their Youth Explosion all-ages gigs, as well as a landmark moment in 2024 when Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook joined them onstage for a blistering “God Save The Queen.”
A Big Year, a Bigger Cause
“2025 has been a big year for us, and live music generally,” said Matt, “and we want to get behind the venues that enable us to have these special nights.”
With their debut album Wasted On Youth arriving 30th January 2026 via Marshall Records, the band has already landed three Top 10 indie hits: “More More More”, “Today’s Gonna Be Our Day”, and “Rhythm Of Yourself”. The momentum is undeniable — and their commitment to grassroots scenes just as strong.
Issey added: “We’re looking forward to getting lots of friends and familiar faces down to Bush Hall to see out the year. Come down and join us for a massive night in West London.”
Following the Christmas show, The Molotovs will hit the road again in January 2026 for their Wasted On Youth Tour, taking in grassroots venues across the UK.
