Mother Vulture unleash Phoenix ahead of Cartoon Violence album launch

“This tune feels like a cathartic release… we’ve worked really hard to get where we are.” – Brodie, Mother Vulture

Mother Vulture ignite with explosive new single, Phoenix and Gretsch collaboration

Mother Vulture are back with Phoenix — their most anthemic and emotionally-charged single to date. Blending blistering riffs with sky-reaching choruses, the track surges forward with all the band’s trademark ferocity, while showcasing a more melodic and classic rock edge. As frontman Georgi Valentine bellows, “This is everything to me”, it’s clear Phoenix is more than a song — it’s a declaration.

Released alongside a surprise Gretsch Guitars campaign, the band star in a high-energy ad for the new Jet series guitars, with the video doubling as the official visual for the single. It’s a moment of recognition for the DIY stalwarts, who’ve self-released every track to date — and plan to do the same with their upcoming album Cartoon Violence, due 15th January 2026.

“As a guitarist and a fanatic Gretsch enthusiast… it was just really f***ing cool,” says guitarist Brodie of the collab.

On Phoenix, Mother Vulture pull no punches. It’s a tight fusion of thunderous drum breaks, scorching solos, and a chorus designed for fists-in-the-air sing-alongs. It also marks a slight shift toward their classic rock roots, while staying rooted in the chaos and charisma that’s become their calling card.

Pre-order “Cartoon Violence here.

Their fierce independence remains intact — no label, no compromises — and it’s this blend of high energy, hard graft and raw honesty that’s fuelled their rise through the UK rock underground.
