The Darts Launch New Album Cycle with Slinky Monster Bop “Midnight Creep”
Seattle’s all-women garage-punk powerhouse The Darts are back in action with the release of “Midnight Creep,” the first single from their upcoming album Halloween Love Songs, out March 3 on Adrenalin Fix Music. Dropping Tuesday, January 13, the track plunges headfirst into the band’s signature cocktail of vintage horror camp and Farfisa-fueled garage mayhem—this time with a slither-heavy swing that’s made to move bodies.
If the idea of a back-from-the-grave dance craze sounds too good to be true, trust that The Darts have made it real. “Midnight Creep” isn’t just a track—it’s an invitation. A haunted sock-hop anthem beamed in from a lost midnight movie and rebuilt for 21st-century garage trash disciples.
A Dance for the Damned
What began as a demo called “Phantom Creep” from bassist Lindsay Scarey turned into a full-blown Halloween banger once frontwoman Nicole Laurenne reimagined it as a throwback monster dance. With Nicole’s sneaky organ hooks leading the charge and Lindsay creating a simple, spooky choreography, “Midnight Creep” captures everything that makes The Darts tick: raw energy, vintage swagger, and unapologetic weirdness.
To bring it to life visually, they teamed up with Frogman director Anthony Cousins, who leaned hard into late-night horror vibes. The result? A camp-drenched basement video dripping with paper-mâché creatures, fog-machine ambience, and plenty of hips in motion.

Halloween Love Songs: Sweet, Spooky, and Snarling
The upcoming LP Halloween Love Songs delivers a two-sided punch: Side A leans into ghoulish fun, candy-coated keys, and costume-party kitsch. Side B turns down the lights and dials up the fuzz—more sinister, heavier, built for graveyard bonfires and post-midnight wanderings. Produced by Grammy-winner Mark Rains at Station House Studio in LA, the record blends the bite of The Trashwomen with the sexed-up swing of The Cramps and the gritty edge of Death Valley Girls.
And if “Midnight Creep” is any indication, this album will be a danceable séance you’ll want to attend again and again.
