Alice Cooper Announces Guest Hosts For Devil On My Shoulder UK Book Tour
Alice Cooper has announced the special guest hosts who will join him on stage for his intimate Devil On My Shoulder UK book tour this October.
The eight-date run follows the publication of Cooper’s definitive autobiography, Devil On My Shoulder, released by Ebury Spotlight on 8 October 2026. Across the tour, the Godfather of Shock Rock will appear in conversation with a guest host, followed by an audience Q&A, offering fans a rare chance to hear stories from a career that has stretched across six decades of rock spectacle, myth and mayhem.
A meeting of rock theatre minds
Among the newly announced hosts is Arthur Brown, the legendary theatrical rock pioneer best known for the 1968 classic “Fire”. Brown will host four dates on the tour, including London, Brighton, Stockton and Wolverhampton.
It is a fitting pairing. Cooper and Brown both helped expand rock performance into something wilder, darker and more visual, turning the stage into a place for shock, drama and total immersion.
Also joining the tour is broadcaster Claire Sturgess, who will host the Cardiff, Cambridge and Manchester dates. A longtime champion of classic rock across Absolute Radio and Greatest Hits Radio, Sturgess brings both deep knowledge and lifelong enthusiasm to the conversations.
In Glasgow, veteran music journalist Billy Sloan will host the evening at the Pavilion Theatre, bringing decades of experience and a personal connection to Cooper’s storied history in Scotland.
Behind the greasepaint
Devil On My Shoulder promises a life lived between chaos and control, with Cooper reflecting on the angel and devil of his own legend. The memoir features stories involving Salvador Dalí, John Lennon, Groucho Marx, Vincent Price, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Andy Warhol and more, while also exploring addiction, fame, performance, dysfunction and survival.
