Midway Still set July release for new EP What If…? as UK tour gets under way

Midway Still have announced What If…?, a four-track EP due on 31 July via Bitter And Twisted, with a UK tour starting this month alongside Dealing With Damage and Mega Fishy Four.

Four new tracks built on distortion and bruised melody

Recorded and produced by the band, the EP finds the trio leaning into the raw guitar strain and bittersweet hooks that have long anchored their sound. Lead single Could Have Been opens the record with driving rhythm and a more reflective lyrical edge, setting the tone for a collection that moves between regret, ageing and missed chances.

“We wanted this EP to capture the energy of our live shows but with a sharper focus,” says frontman Paul Thomson. “The songs came together quickly, dealing with themes of regret, ageing and lost opportunities. It feels like a natural evolution while staying true to the noisy guitar DNA of what Midway Still has always been.”

What If…? will be available on major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music, with a limited CD run available through Order the limited CD via Bandcamp here.

The track listing keeps things tight, with four songs that sound built for loud rooms and short attention spans:

  1. Could Have Been
  2. Don’t Wanna Feel Anymore
  3. Nothing In Your Way
  4. Never Made It Happen
