156/Silence release From A Distance and confirm UK dates

“Love is the most important thing in the world no matter what. Through all the bad and evil, there will always be more good.”

156/Silence unveil From A Distance with Alex Reade collaboration and UK tour dates

156/Silence have released their sixth full-length album, From A Distance, through Pure Noise Records. The Pittsburgh metalcore outfit have also shared a video for the record’s title track, featuring Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer, ahead of UK shows with The Devil Wears Prada next month.

The title track closes the album’s main run with a more melodic, atmospheric edge, while Reade appears both on the recording and in its accompanying video.

Discussing the song’s central idea, the band said: “Love. Love is the most important thing in the world no matter what. Through all the bad and evil, there will always be more good. Even if it’s from a distance, the love we share is worth more than anything.”

A wider and more unsettling perspective

Produced by Josh Schroeder, From A Distance follows 2024’s People Watching and moves between crushing metalcore, synth-laced tension and the jagged edges of the band’s mathcore instincts. Its songs take in celebrity worship, intrusive thoughts, personal connection and social behaviour, with video game score influences and cinematic sound design threaded through the record.

Guest appearances arrive from Reade, Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism and Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada. The album is available to stream now, with the full record available here.
