Spanish Love Songs unleash Welcome To Hell as Future Nausea tour heads to the UK
Spanish Love Songs have released Welcome To Hell, the latest single from their forthcoming album Future Nausea, due out on 6th November via Pure Noise Records.
Described by the band as a bar-band rock song, the track finds Spanish Love Songs leaning into a more direct, ragged-edged sound while retaining the anxious social observations that have long run through Dylan Slocum’s writing.

“I wanted a song that could thematically relieve the pressure of the album,” Slocum says. “There’s a narrow line to walk when writing a song that is even vaguely political, and I always want to make sure we don’t fall into finger-wagging. We’re telling stories about people fighting their way through life, not prescribing any absolute sort of answer.
“The song starts with someone like me and is an attack on cynicism. Then it moves on to the changes being forced down our throats by techno-oligarchs in the name of profit, and wraps up questioning whether all of us are settling for a worse world in the name of convenience, or worse, apathy.”
Future Nausea was produced by Chris Walla and Sarah Tudzin. Slocum says Walla encouraged the group to move beyond familiar studio habits: “Chris really pushed us out of our production comfort zones by telling us to be confident and clear in our intentions. We really rode that energy into finding the best version of the band that we’ve ever had.”
