Beyond Extinction detail Three Swords EP as A Dark Sickness (Three Swords) arrives ahead of 2027 tour
Beyond Extinction have announced their new EP, Three Swords, due for release on 23 October 2026. The Essex deathcore quartet have also shared its latest single, A Dark Sickness (Three Swords), and confirmed a co-headline UK tour with Canadian heavyweights Salem Trials for March 2027.
The four-track EP follows recent single Witchfinder and draws on grim episodes from Essex history, with the new track centred on the Black Death’s spread through Colchester, Chelmsford and Maldon. Musically, it takes the band’s low-tuned assault into particularly punishing territory, built around dense riffs, blunt-force breakdowns and a deliberately oppressive pace.
Vocalist Jasper Harmer said: “A Dark Sickness (Three Swords) is one of the most exciting and intense tracks we’ve ever put together. By layering our heaviest influences on top of each other, I feel we’ve shown a different weapon in our arsenal and in a live setting this one whips the crowds into gear and then lets the classic low and slow speak for itself.
“The uncompromising and in-your-face core of this track mirrors its story, watching the black death plague scythe through the medieval populations of Colchester, Chelmsford and Maldon leaving half of all the men, women and children dead in the Essex dirt.”
Four tracks drawn from Essex’s darker past
Three Swords is set to explore local folklore, violence and disease across four tracks, with Witchfinder, Skin Of The Beast and The Estuary joining the newly released title track.
