LØLØ shares new delusional darling version with former tourmate Ella Red
LØLØ has released a new version of delusional darling, bringing alt-pop artist and former touring partner Ella Red into the song’s sharp-edged spiral of romantic denial.
The original track appears on LØLØ’s sophomore album god forbid a girl spits out her feelings!, which arrived earlier this year through Fearless Records. This new recording follows a run of live performances in which Ella Red joined LØLØ onstage for the song while opening the European headline tour.
delusional darling takes a knowingly exaggerated look at the urge to overlook glaring warning signs in a relationship, with the pair turning its self-aware refrain into a more conversational, two-voice exchange.

LØLØ said: “For better or for worse, I’m one of the most delusional people I know. I like to believe the best in people, even when there are giant, flashing red flags telling me otherwise.
“delusional darling is a satirical, over exaggerated take on every girl who’s ever tried to justify an asshole’s bad behavior. Sometimes, you just have to let the ‘delulu’ take over you, because being delusional feels much less lonely than facing the truth. It’s easier to rewrite your reality than to admit the painfully obvious: he’s just not that into you.

The release lands during a busy period for LØLØ, who has recently played multiple Warped Tour dates and begun a North American headline run. She is also set to reunite with Simple Plan for arena and stadium shows across Asia later this year, before appearing at Australia’s Good Things Festival.
