Venice Beach Hardcore Upstarts XCOMM Light the Fuse on Pirates

XCOMM release new single and video “PIRATES” featuring Ghostemane ahead of their debut album Time To Burn, out May 22, 2026 via Blowed Out Records.

XCOMM Drop Ferocious New Single “PIRATES” Featuring Ghostemane

Venice Beach hardcore punk unit XCOMM have released their new single and official video “PIRATES,” featuring Ghostemane. The track arrives as the final blast before the band’s debut album Time To Burn, released May 22, 2026 via Blowed Out Records.

Produced by Ross Robinson, whose fingerprints are all over era-defining records by Korn, Slipknot, Glassjaw, At The Drive-In and The Cure, Time To Burn captures XCOMM at full voltage: young, unruly, furious and already swinging with frightening confidence.

A Hardcore Collision With Ghostemane

“PIRATES” brings XCOMM’s feral hardcore velocity into direct contact with Ghostemane’s dark, ominous presence. It is a short, sharp detonation of punk chaos, all forward motion and clenched-teeth energy, with the band sounding like they are kicking the door off its hinges rather than politely arriving.

The accompanying video, directed by Darren Craig, stars XCOMM, Ghostemane and Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise, throwing the track into a world of police chases, ruined suburban picnics and pure visual mischief.

Time To Burn Marks a Blazing Debut

Across eleven tracks, Time To Burn channels boredom, frustration, anger and absurdity into hardcore punk that feels raw without being careless. Songs like “Fake ID,” “Hot Pursuit / One And Nothing” and “Borrowed Happiness” have already helped fuel the band’s rapid rise, with “Fake ID” surpassing 2.5 million views across platforms.

For a band still at the start of their story, XCOMM’s momentum is already loud enough to rattle the walls. They have supported Foo Fighters at the Kia Forum, played The Punk Rock Museum’s 3rd Anniversary Parking Lot Show, appeared at California Chaos Festival with Militarie Gun, and are set for major upcoming appearances including Warped Tour.

Backed by Punk Royalty

The band’s early supporters include an eye-watering list of heavy music names, from Mike Patton, Dave Grohl, Jerry Cantrell and Dave Lombardo to Tony Hawk, Skrillex, Duff McKagan, Fred Durst, Ghostemane and Fletcher Dragge.

Ross Robinson, who first saw the band in a small club, describes their sound as raw, fast and refreshingly human, calling them part of an “Anti-AI movement.” Fletcher Dragge is equally emphatic, praising their old-school punk instincts and calling them the next generation coming to life.
