BABYMETAL Unleash Major Lazer Remix of from me to u

“With over 15 years of history and a diehard international following, BABYMETAL isn’t just a band — they’re a movement redefining what heavy music looks and sounds like.”

BABYMETAL return with a club-shaking twist on from me to u

BABYMETAL are back with a fresh jolt of adrenaline, unveiling ‘from me to u (Major Lazer Remix)’ as the first taste of METAL FORTH (DELUXE EDITION), due out 26 June via Capitol Records.

BABYMETAL 2026

The new remix throws a different light on one of the standout moments from the group’s recent era, pushing their hybrid of precision pop hooks and metallic force into a more unruly, high-energy space. It also signals that BABYMETAL are not interested in simply revisiting past ground. Even when looking back at an existing track, they are still finding new ways to make it hit harder.

A deluxe edition built for collectors and completists

The expanded edition of METAL FORTH will arrive in both digital and vinyl formats, with a limited zoetrope pressing designed to animate ten album icons in motion. For a band that has long treated presentation as part of the experience, it feels like a fittingly theatrical next step.

Beyond the visual appeal, the deluxe package adds plenty for longtime fans to dig into. Alongside the original album, it includes two new remixes of ‘from me to u (feat. Poppy)’ by Major Lazer and Jordan Fish, plus three live recordings captured from major stages.

A landmark chapter for BABYMETAL

When METAL FORTH first arrived, it marked another major leap for the band. The record debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, giving BABYMETAL their first US Top 10 album. According to the press release, it also became the first all-Japanese fronted group to reach that tier of the chart.

The album’s momentum stretched well beyond the US. It reportedly pulled in more than 200 million global streams and sold 36,000 equivalent album units in its first week, while also posting strong chart positions across Spotify, iTunes, Japan, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and France.

For a group that began in 2010 and quickly built its name on spectacular, full-throttle live shows, those milestones feel less like a surprise than further proof of BABYMETAL’s reach. What once looked improbable has become the norm: a band that smashes together idol-pop, speed metal, spectacle and absolute conviction, then makes it feel undeniable.

Fronted by SU-METAL, MOAMETAL and MOMOMETAL, BABYMETAL continue to occupy a lane that remains entirely their own. Fifteen years in, they are still expanding the possibilities of what heavy music can look and sound like on a global stage.
