Castle Rat announce biggest London headline show yet at Camden’s Electric Ballroom
Castle Rat will bring their theatrical doom-metal world to Camden’s Electric Ballroom for their biggest London headline show to date on 27 May 2027.
The New York band will return to the capital following their recent Bloodstock appearance, where their swords-and-sorcery stage spectacle met a receptive UK festival crowd. Tickets for the Electric Ballroom date go on sale at 10am BST on Friday 2 October.
A Camden date for the Rat Queen
The London show arrives as Castle Rat continue their North American Summon The Beasts Tour 2026, a run that includes sold-out stops in Los Angeles, Berkeley, Portland, Seattle, Detroit and Toronto before closing at New York’s Webster Hall on 21 October.
The band are currently touring behind their second album, The Bestiary, released via Loma Vista Records in late 2025. Produced by Randall Dunn, the record has sharpened the group’s heavy riffs and fantasy-world storytelling into a larger-scale live proposition.
Rolling Stone described their sound as pairing “chugging High on Fire-via-Sabbath doom with witchy moodiness”, while The Guardian noted: “From heraldic, earworm-heavy anthems to eye-popping live shows, costume design, videos and album art, they’re not so much a metal band as a full immersive experience.”
