Desertfest London expands its 2027 bill with YOB, Kylesa, Windhand and more
Desertfest has added 18 artists to its 2027 line-up, with YOB, Kylesa, Windhand and Lowen among the latest names confirmed for the London festival.
Set to take place from 21–23 May 2027, Desertfest will once again bring its weighty mix of doom, sludge, psych and heavy rock to the capital, with the Roundhouse among its key venues. The newly announced acts join the festival’s growing bill ahead of a full weekend of low-end distortion and riff-heavy catharsis.
YOB return after their crushing 2022 set
Oregon trio YOB are set for a return to Desertfest following their 2022 appearance at the Roundhouse. The band’s vast, patient and punishing sound has made them one of the most revered names in modern doom, and their arrival gives the 2027 edition one of its biggest heavy-hitting bookings so far.
Kylesa will also make their Desertfest London debut. The Savannah sludge outfit resumed activity in 2026 after a decade-long hiatus, bringing their dual-drummer attack and dense, psychedelic heaviness back to stages.
Windhand are another first-time Desertfest London addition, with the Richmond doom band bringing their hazy, slow-motion riffs to the bill. London’s Lowen, meanwhile, return with their distinctive blend of progressive metal, ritualistic atmosphere and Middle Eastern musical influences.
A deeper second wave of doom, sludge and psych
The latest announcement broadens the festival’s undercard with a mix of established names and newer underground forces. Joining YOB, Kylesa, Windhand and Lowen are Margarita Witch Cult, Bonnacons Of Doom, Gurt, Ritual King, Cardiel, Druidess, Pink Fuzz, Blue Heron, Goya, Friendship Commanders, Stonus, Congulus, Occult Hand Order and Tellemehookah.
