Desperate Measures mark the outsiders with new single The Flames Of The Street
Desperate Measures have released their new single The Flames Of The Street, a nostalgic punk ’n’ roll tribute to the skaters, punks and outsiders who found their own way through younger days.

Written by Justin Keilty, Eugene Butcher and Carl Englemark, the track is built around a salute to “the outsiders, the lifers, the chancers, the flames of the street”, drawing on the sense of identity and defiance that runs through punk’s everyday edges.
The single arrives with a retro-styled video, matching the song’s street-level memories with a suitably rough-edged visual accompaniment. Watch the video here.

A Saturday night celebration in London
Desperate Measures will take The Flames Of The Street to the stage this Saturday, 24 October, when they celebrate their 45th anniversary at London’s Hope & Anchor. Italy’s Semprefreski and skatepunk outfit The Mistakes complete the bill.
