EVILLE launch Easy Life Records era with Flip Phone featuring RedHook’s Emmy Mack
EVILLE have signed to Easy Life Records and marked the beginning of the partnership with new single Flip Phone, featuring a guest appearance from Emmy Mack of RedHook.
The Brighton trio’s first release for the label leans into a bright, nostalgic strain of heavy music, combining crunching instrumentation with Y2K references and a chorus designed for maximum release. Mack’s appearance gives the track an added jolt, following EVILLE and RedHook’s UK tour together last year.
EVILLE vocalist and guitarist Eva Sheldrake said: “When we were writing Flip Phone we wanted to make something nostalgic, fun and liberating. We also knew straight away that we wanted Emmy to sing on it and she absolutely nailed it.”
Mack added: “I’ve been a huge fan of Eville since we toured the UK together last year so it was a total no-brainer when they hit me up to collab! The song itself had such a fun lyrical concept, I unreservedly enjoyed the challenge of cramming as many cheeky Y2K refs as I possibly could into these bars. I hope people have as much fun listening to it as we had making it!”
A new single with a dial-up glow
Flip Phone finds EVILLE extending the collision of pop-culture bite and metallic force they have termed Brat Metal. The track arrives with an official video, which can be viewed above.

UK shows with Lake Malice
EVILLE will bring the new single to UK venues in October as support to Lake Malice, with stops in Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham and London. The run follows a stretch of European dates and precedes further mainland shows with Rising Insane in November and December.
