Get Ready for a Rockin’ Revolution at SXSW: Punk Rock Lottery Documentary Event!

Austin, TX—On March 10th, Empire Control Room and Garage will serve as the epicentre for an exciting event during the SXSW Film Festival. The event will showcase a groundbreaking documentary produced right here in Austin. The film “Punk Rock Lottery” explores the rich history and contemporary significance of counterculture movements.

To kick off this celebration with full force, backed by the generous support of sponsors Deep Eddy Vodka, Voodoo Ranger Hardcharged Tea, and more, the Documentary team is now working side by side with founder/event organizer Ivy Reed to revive the famed PUNK ROCK LOTTERY event!

Over 40 strangers will be randomly grouped into bands formed just a few weeks prior on February 10th. Eight bands will compete for a year’s worth of bragging rights and impressive awards. However, the musical extravaganza of the evening is only the beginning. The day will start with a complimentary coffee and finger food brunch, inviting film professionals to network and catch a sneak peek of select scenes from the forthcoming documentary. DJs and other musical acts will perform throughout the afternoon and early evening while guests enjoy lunch and happy hour activations.

Local comedians, many of whom have been featured on the popular Kill Tony podcast, will host the event throughout the day. No matter what your agenda is during SXSW, make sure to mark your calendars for the Punk Rock Lottery Documentary event on Sunday, March 10th. *This is an unofficial SXSW event and open to the public.
