Gurriers release Nothing Happens Twice and announce UK and Ireland record shop dates
Gurriers have shared Nothing Happens Twice, the latest single from their forthcoming second album Nobody’s Coming To Save You, due for release on 25 September 2026 via Play It Again Sam.
The Dublin band’s third album preview is a tightly wound blast of scorching guitars and mounting agitation, taking aim at political unease, digital alienation and the increasingly strange blur between online life and automation. Its central refrain – “nothing ever happens here, nothing happens twice” – draws on Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot and the so-called dead internet theory, imagining a web populated less by people than bots.
Vocalist Dan Hoff delivers the song with a frustration that suits its claustrophobic sense of repetition and inertia, while the accompanying video was directed by Thomas James, whose previous work includes projects with Kneecap, Bring Me The Horizon and Young Fathers.

A second album shaped between Donegal and London
Nobody’s Coming To Save You was recorded at Attica Studios in Donegal and Holy Mountain Studios in London. The record was produced by Mark Bowen and Loren Humphrey, with Chris Fullard engineering and John Congleton handling mixing.
The album follows earlier singles Nobody’s Coming To Save You and Party Lines, with the title track having received BBC Radio 6 Music support. Gurriers’ new record contains 10 tracks, including Shades, Drones and Waiting For Fisher.

Record shops first, then the autumn headline run
Alongside the single, Gurriers have announced a September UK and Ireland outstore tour, set to take in independent retailers including Spindizzy, Assai Records, Jacaranda, Rough Trade and Truck Store. The run will visit Dublin, Edinburgh, Dundee, Liverpool, Nottingham, Cardiff and Oxford, with further details available via the band’s official live page.
The band will then embark on a larger autumn UK and European headline tour, including a London date at Electric Brixton on 24 October. Tramhaus will support across the UK leg, while Enola Gay, Really Good Time and Child Of Prague join selected European and Irish dates.
